How We Began
Every great institution begins with a vision. Saints Michael and Rafael Hospital was founded on the belief that quality healthcare should be accessible, compassionate, ethical, and centred on the needs of every patient.
Established on 21st August 2017, the hospital was born out of a shared passion for improving healthcare delivery and making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals, families, and communities. Founded by Dr. Umeobika Chinedu Samuel, a dedicated medical practitioner, and Barr. Nneka Christina Umeobika, an accomplished legal professional and healthcare administrator, the hospital was created to provide medical care that combines clinical excellence with genuine compassion.
From its inception, Saints Michael and Rafael Hospital has been guided by a simple but powerful philosophy: every patient deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, professionalism, and empathy. This philosophy continues to shape every aspect of our practice, from the quality of our clinical services to the warmth with which we welcome every patient.
Today, Saints Michael and Rafael Hospital is equipped with modern consultation rooms, a well-equipped laboratory, a functional emergency unit, a spacious antenatal lounge, an immunisation centre, a modern delivery room, well-equipped operating theatres, comfortable inpatient wards, and other essential facilities that support comprehensive healthcare delivery.
